Senior Automation Engineer

Salary: $70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a bachelors degree in a technical field, ideally electrical engineering, from an accredited institution, along with at least seven years of relevant experience.
• We require proven expertise in at least one of the following areas: automation and control systems, protective relay programming and commissioning, or PLC applications for switchgear.
• We look for experience developing, integrating, installing, and commissioning industrial control systems using PLC and HMI solutions.
• We require hands-on experience with PLC logic programming and HMI programming; familiarity with Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, and ABB tools is an advantage.
• We require knowledge of common industrial communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP-IP, IEC 61850, DNP3, and Profibus.
• We require a solid understanding of three-phase power.
• We value experience configuring, testing, and commissioning relays; experience with SEL, GE, and Siemens microprocessor relays is a plus.
• We need excellent customer-facing, verbal, and written communication skills.
• We require strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• We look for someone who can work effectively in a team or independently, adapt to change, take initiative, and bring innovative thinking.
• We value the ability to mentor less experienced engineers.
• We require willingness to travel locally at least 25%.
• We require legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• We want you to become proficient in our PAD solutions and offerings.
• We need you to review and interpret client specifications to create functional designs, drawings, and test documentation in line with project requirements and our standard procedures.
• We expect you to develop relay configuration files using manufacturers such as SEL, GE, Siemens, and Beckwith.
• We need you to design and configure SCADA systems using platforms such as WonderWare InTouch, Allen Bradley Factory Talk, Copa-Data Zenon, Siemens WinCC, and/or SEL RTAC AcSELerator Diagram Builder.
• We expect you to use industrial communication protocols including Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP 3.0, and related standards.
• We want you to develop PLC-based electrical system monitoring and control solutions.
• We need you to support factory and site acceptance testing, prepare related documentation, and carry out start-up and commissioning activities as required.
• We expect you to follow our Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures at all times.
• We want you to provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including after-sales support.
