Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment within a fast-paced distribution center environment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and conveyor systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Inspect and repair conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Collaborate with operations teams to improve equipment reliability and overall facility performance.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in an industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to identify and resolve equipment issues quickly.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, and automated material handling systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.

Work Environment

Work in a distribution center, Monday to Friday from 4:30am to 2:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bessemer, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
