This role spans the 2026-2027 school year, working full-time hours onsite at dedicated elementary and middle school settings. The position involves leading self-contained classrooms for students with varying academic and physical needs and supporting their growth in a supportive, adaptive environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Georgia Special Education teaching license with all required endorsements.
• Certification in Adaptive SPED (for Elementary role) or SPED General Curriculum (for Middle School role).
• Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or adaptive needs preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and maximizing each student's potential.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Instruct and support students in self-contained autism or adaptive classrooms, focusing on both academic and life skills.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Collaborate with related service professionals, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive student development.
• Establish a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages participation and progress.
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Attend staff meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development sessions.
