Job Summary The Club Director is the senior on-site leader responsible for the overall performance, culture, safety, and impact of an assigned Boys & Girls Club within the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad regional system. As BGCTriad expands under the Future Ready Triad vision, this role ensures that each Club operates with excellence, consistency, and measurable impact while remaining deeply connected to its local community. The Club Director is accountable for delivering high-quality youth development programming aligned with BGCA’s Future Ready framework and the organization’s integrated Academics + Athletics model. This leader builds and mentors high-performing teams, strengthens school and community partnerships, drives attendance and outcome benchmarks, and ensures every young person experiences a safe, engaging, and opportunity-rich environment. As the primary ambassador of the organization at the site level, the Club Director must demonstrate a knowledge of interest in and respect for the community the Club serves, and must possess sufficient skills and experience to quickly gain the trust and confidence of our members, their families, colleagues at all levels of the organization, as well as external stakeholders. Club Directors are not only site managers, they are builders of a regional movement designed to transform youth outcomes and expand opportunity. The Club Director plays a vital role in scaling a unified regional model that is Better in quality, Bigger in reach, and Bolder in influence across the Triad. Key Responsibilities Site Leadership & Operational Excellence Lead all daily operations of the assigned Club, ensuring safety, structure, and high performance. Maintain full compliance with BGCA membership requirements, tracking requirements, including daily attendance/activity tracking by member and organizational policies. Oversee facilities, inventory, scheduling, and operational procedures. Serve as the first point of contact for reportable Club incidents Ensure the Club environment is welcoming, organized, and mission-driven. Program Quality & Youth Impact Implement the unified Academics + Athletics model aligned with the Future Ready framework. Ensure programming advances outcomes in Academic Success, Health & Well-Being, Character & Leadership, and Life & Workforce Readiness. Drive consistent attendance benchmarks and youth engagement goals. Staff Leadership & Culture: Recruit, supervise, mentor, and develop Youth Development Professionals and site staff. Foster a high-expectation, collaborative, and youth-first culture. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support. Support implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) practices. Membership Growth & Attendance: Lead recruitment and retention strategies to grow site membership. Monitor attendance trends and implement strategies to deepen youth engagement. Ensure accurate data entry and reporting within regional systems. School & Community Partnerships: Lead in developing and cultivating partnerships within community, school systems/educators, families, and community leaders. Represent the Club at school and community events. Support development of local advisory councils where applicable. Strengthen alignment between Club programming and school-day academic goals. Financial Stewardship & Regional Alignment: Manage site-level budgets in coordination with regional leadership. Support fundraising initiatives and community engagement activities. Ensure timely reporting and accountability standards are met. Contribute to the growth and sustainability of the Future Ready Triad expansion. NOTE: This role will require flexibility, including occasional evenings and weekends, to support Club operations, community engagement and events. As Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad expands to 25–30 sites serving 7,500–9,000 youth annually by 2030, Club Directors are expected to operate with both local ownership and regional alignment. Lead with a regional mindset while honoring local community identity. Embrace data-driven decision-making and measurable impact standards. Champion Continuous Quality Improvement across programming and operations. Uphold excellence, belonging, accountability, and collective impact. Serve as a visible leader who advances the Future Ready Triad movement in the community. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree I added value (Education, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field). Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience in youth development, education, or nonprofit management. Demonstrated experience supervising teams and managing multi-faceted programs. Strong knowledge of youth development principles and best practices. Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and operational management preferred. Proven ability to build partnerships with schools, families, and community stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in data systems and technology platforms.
