Packaging Engineer

Packaging Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, and testing a wide variety of packaging equipment and packaging systems used for medical devices and supplies. The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for sustaining engineering activities along with new product and cost savings initiatives.

• Lead packaging validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ validations for various packaging equipment including thermoform-fill-seal, impulse sealers, and band sealers.
• Identify, lead, and implement package optimization projects.
• Development of packaging systems for new product introductions.
• Maintain organized and accurate documentation including specifications, protocols, and reports.
• Organize and lead cross-functional team meetings to gain consensus support for packaging initiatives.
• Support of regulatory initiatives including MDR.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Packaging or related field.
• 1-3 years related work experience in Engineering; Experience with Medical Devices preferred
• Knowledge of ISO, ASTM, and ISTA standards and test methods.
• Experience with flexible and rigid medical packaging systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects of moderate complexity and maintain project commitments.
• Strong analytical skills with statistical analysis proficiency.
