Job Title

SMH Level 3 RN Med/Surg - ED Boarder

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Includes Holidays, On Call, Callback, and Weekends as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to med/surg boarder patients housed within a high-volume Adult Emergency Department
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 1:5 ratio with the support of assistive personnel
• Monitor and assess a diverse adult patient population presenting with a wide variety of diagnoses
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate safe and effective patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse License
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Telemetry (Tele) experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification
• Experience in a fast-paced or high-acuity clinical environment
