Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour (including premium pay) with 40 (full-time) / 20 (part-time) hours of Paid Time Off upon hire

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Arrive on time and ready to work

· Ensure that proper preparation procedures have been completed

· Prepare the cooking areas for the shift

· Maintain the highest level of food quality obtainable

· Communicates with coworkers and management in a pleasant, professional manner

· Continuously cleans cook workstations; completes thorough cleaning at end of shift

· Completes prep work during slow periods

· Account for every food item used

· Maintain a clean and safe kitchen

· Follow all health and safety regulations prescribed

· Control and limit waste

· Communicate problems and ideas to management

· Maintain all kitchen equipment and utensils

· Keep every area of the kitchen clean and organized

· Follow proper rotation procedures

· Label and date all products used

· Performs other kitchen related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read and follow recipes

High standards of personal hygiene

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Ability to tend to detail.

Capable of working without close supervision.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee is regularly required to see; talk; hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move and apply force of 50 pounds.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED. Cooking school graduate preferred.

MINIMUM LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to read and follow simple instructions and recipes. Must be capable of writing light correspondence.

MINIMUM MATHEMATICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.

MINIMUM REASONING SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Ability to define problems and suggest possible valid conclusions.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Hot, high noise level with rare chances of exposure to blood borne pathogens.
