Interventional Radiology Technician

Job Summary Performs a variety of complex radiology examinations, imaging procedures, and interventional diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in interventional radiology, cardiac cath, or electrophysiology labs, following practice standards. Assists in diagnosis and treatment of diseases and provides on-call coverage as needed. Assists in diagnosis and treatment of diseases and provides on-call coverage as needed. Responsibilities Performs quality radiologic procedures using appropriate techniques and safety measures as requested by licensed physicians. Prepares sterile setup, assembles instruments, catheters, guidewires, and contrast materials per procedure requirements. Assists physicians with catheters, guidewires, balloons, coils, and treatments. Develops and implements treatment plans following hospital protocols. Completes documentation and maintains equipment and work areas in a safe, organized manner. Participates in performance improvement activities to ensure quality patient care. Completes assigned goals and performs additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Completion of a radiology technology program. Preferred: at least 1 year as a radiology technologist, with 6 months in IR/Cath lab/EP. Required: ARRT registration in Radiography, BLS certification within 14 days, and state licensure as applicable. Preferred: ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) registry. Skills Thorough understanding of radiologic principles and techniques. Ability to follow instructions, plan, and organize work effectively. #J-18808-Ljbffr
