Job Title: Labor & Delivery Environmental Support Specialist

Location: Hackensack, NJ

Shift: Evening / Night Shift (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM | Alternating 5/6 day schedule) Full-Time, Year-Round

Pay rate: $27-$35/hourly

What’s the Job?

Are you looking for a stable, hands-on role in a healthcare setting? We are seeking detail-oriented Labor & Delivery Environmental Support Specialists to join our team at a hospital facility in Hackensack, NJ. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining hospital safety and infection control standards by managing the pickup, decontamination, and delivery of specialized medical equipment.

• Equipment Handling & Decontamination: Collect soiled equipment, transport it using designated service hallways, and thoroughly decontaminate items following strict safety protocols.
• Assembly & Quality Control: Reassemble cleaned equipment, log completed items, and return fully prepared equipment to clinical units in the Women’s Health building.
• Safety & Compliance: Don required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly follow hospital safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Logistics & Logging: Maintain accurate records of all collected and sanitized equipment throughout your shift.

What’s Needed?

• Experience: Background in medical equipment handling, hospital environmental services (EVS), or sterile processing support is preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and transport equipment carts throughout the facility for the full shift.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to accurately track and log equipment.
• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM shift on a bi-weekly rotating schedule (5 days on/2 days off, then 6 days on/1 day off).
