Estimator

Estimator Location: Utah Job Summary Responsible for providing cost and budget estimates for Magleby remodel projects. Assists estimating team with estimates in Estate Homes group as needed. Includes performing takeoffs, soliciting trade partner bids, bid analysis, and bidder selection. Focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of bids presented. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Estimating / pricing for various phases of pre-construction (programming, schematic design, design development, permit and construction documents) Use of On Screen Takeoff & Sage Timberline Develop and maintain client, trade partner and team relationships Capture historical cost data Create budgets, scopes of work, request for proposals and presentation documents Additional Duties And Responsibilities Attend client meetings and present budgets to clients Assist project team with buyout and subcontracting Education / Experience Requirements 3+ years experience estimating in high-end residential or remodel markets or related commercial estimating Experience with On Screen Takeoff and Sage Timberline preferred Construction experience and/or degree in Construction Management or related degree Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent documentation and organizational skills Proven computer skills and experience in Excel and Word Time management skills Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job. May need to work outside in all types of weather or in all kinds of work environments. Hazards: May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold as well as certain unsafe environments; occasionally works near moving equipment and mechanical parts, heavy machinery, lasers, powder‑actuated tools, and electrical equipment; possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles; possible exposure to internal liquids. This is a safety sensitive position where a momentary lapse of attention can result in serious injury or death. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally very loud.
