Exciting full-time opportunity available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to work in a supportive educational setting on a contract basis. This position focuses on delivering comprehensive OT services to school-aged children, enhancing their fine and gross motor skills and supporting their success both in school and, when needed, in home environments.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping students reach their fullest potential. The ideal candidate is experienced in school-based OT, has a background in healthcare or home health settings, and is comfortable delivering therapy tailored to individual educational goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license
- Prior experience working in school, healthcare, or home health environments strongly preferred
- Proficient in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Strong skills in supporting fine and gross motor development
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Knowledgeable about best practices in school-based occupational therapy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' motor skill development and functional abilities
- Develop and implement targeted interventions to promote independence and participation
- Work closely with IEP teams to provide input and write relevant goals
- Collaborate with teachers to support classroom modifications
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Provide therapy sessions both within schools and, when indicated, in home environments
