Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring telemetry experience and a compact or TN RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit with telemetry (MS/Tele), orthopedics, and plastics patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (18:30-07:00) on a 36/36 schedule
• Every other weekend and rotating holidays required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units required
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted certifying body)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Experience managing CBI, renal failure, and hemodialysis patients
• Experience with CVA, TBI, and substance withdrawal patients
• Experience with heparin, insulin, and PCA medication administration
• Skilled in cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and remote telemetry monitoring
• Wound care/wound vac and IV insulin protocol experience required
• Must complete Relias EKG testing within 72 hours of signing
• Must complete drug screening 12-14 calendar days prior to start
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines

Additional Information

• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care duties
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBL modules, averaging 4-5 non-billable hours
• Must reside 100+ miles from the facility's service area; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
