Restaurant Area Director – Full Service

Greater Wichita Area | $70,000–$100,000 Base + Bonus Incentives | Company Car | No Overnight Travel

Lead multiple restaurant concepts while staying close to home.

An established, locally owned restaurant group is seeking a Restaurant Area Director / Multi-unit Manager to oversee its full-service steakhouse and burger concepts throughout the greater Wichita area.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on restaurant leader who enjoys developing managers, strengthening operations, and creating places guests want to return to. You’ll work directly with ownership and help shape the performance and growth of several distinct restaurant brands.

All locations are within the greater Wichita area—no overnight travel required.

Your Role

You’ll provide operational leadership across multiple restaurants, coaching General Managers and their teams to deliver excellent food, attentive service, and consistent financial results.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead, coach, and hold restaurant managers accountable for operational and financial performance.
• Build strong management teams through hiring, training, development, and succession planning.
• Review restaurant P&Ls and translate results into practical action plans.
• Improve food and labor costs through effective scheduling, purchasing, inventory controls, and waste reduction.
• Strengthen kitchen execution, service standards, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Spend meaningful time in each restaurant, identifying challenges and helping teams solve them.
• Partner with ownership on sales-building initiatives, local marketing, and operating improvements.
• Maintain each concept’s individual identity while establishing clear expectations across the group.

What We’re Looking For

• Successful leadership experience in full-service restaurants , ideally with multi-unit responsibility.
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials, food costs, labor management, and inventory controls.
• Experience developing General Managers and building accountable, motivated teams.
• A visible, approachable leadership style and willingness to work alongside restaurant teams.
• Ability to balance the needs of multiple locations and follow through on priorities.
• Steakhouse, burger, or other full-service casual dining experience preferred.
• Availability to visit locations throughout the greater Wichita area, including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
• Valid driver’s license.
