Position Responsibilities Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance Support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements Work under general supervision Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences) 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience Experience performing stress analysis on composite structures, laminates, bonded assemblies or related structures. 1+ years' experience with finite element modeling structural analysis methods and tools (Hypermesh, MSC Nastran/PATRAN, ABAQUS, Stress Check, etc). Prior experience with manufacturing/production systems. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active This position requires the ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) 3+ years’ work experience with composites design and analysis methodologies. Experience in military aircraft sustainment, repairs, and modification programs. Experience with various software applications for performing Boeing stress analysis (e.g. IAS, CSW, etc).
