WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical-Surgical team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or provider. This individual thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to providing exceptional care to every patient. Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider. Assist with patient assessments and report changes in condition promptly. Administer medications and treatments within the scope of LPN practice and hospital policy. Monitor vital signs, collect specimens, and perform routine nursing procedures. Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, and comfort measures. Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments. Document patient care, observations, and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record. Reinforce patient and family education regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions. Collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment. Follow infection prevention practices and hospital safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals. WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT Current, unrestricted Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Previous Medical-Surgical or acute care experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing excellent patient care. Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Twelve-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules based on departmental needs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and repositioning patients throughout the shift. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and other healthcare-related hazards; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided. Ability to safely lift and reposition patients using proper body mechanics and patient handling equipment. Must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including a background check, drug screen, and any applicable health screenings.
