Responsibilities will include:

• Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances to ensure timely payment
• Review and resolve denied, rejected, and unpaid claims through reconsiderations and appeals
• Audit patient accounts for accuracy and proper reimbursement
• Research and resolve patient billing inquiries and complaints professionally and confidentially
• Review EOBs and identify reimbursement discrepancies or payer trends
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on delinquent accounts appropriately
• Process insurance and patient correspondence
• Prepare write-off requests and supporting documentation
• Reconcile refund accounts and forward documentation for processing
• Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain claim status and resolve billing issues
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations related to medical billing and coding

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• 1+ years of medical billing, insurance follow-up, or accounts receivable experience
• Experience with insurance claims processing and account balancing
• Strong understanding of denial management and appeals
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Knowledge of CMS and payer regulations preferred
• Medical billing experience highly desirable
