Your Role on the Press Team As a key feeder operator supporting our Press Department, you will work hands-on with production equipment and collaborate closely with the Pressman to keep every job on spec and on schedule. What You’ll Do Review the daily schedule and stage materials for upcoming jobs. Confirm paper stock against load tags and job specifications. Unload, position, and load sheets into press feeders efficiently and safely. Set and fine‑tune feeder systems, including double-sheet detection and pressure adjustments. Continuously monitor paper flow, feeder performance, and press operation during runs. Support the Pressman with operation, material handling, and changeovers. Maintain ink and water levels to ensure consistent print quality. Clean and care for press components (blankets, supplies) to reduce downtime. Retrieve, label, and store printing plates after each run. Complete basic preventive maintenance as directed. Keep the press area clean, safe, and well organized. Shift 2nd What You Bring 1–3 years in printing or manufacturing (preferred). Working knowledge of press operations and paper handling. Mechanical aptitude and comfort with production equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal directions accurately. Basic math skills, including fractions and measurements. Strong attention to detail and equipment monitoring discipline. Team‑first mindset in a fast‑paced environment. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.
