Medical Assistant - CMA/MA

Job Summary:

Provides clinical support and patient care in a healthcare setting, assisting physicians and healthcare teams with daily operations. Ensures accurate documentation and adheres to established protocols to maintain high-quality patient services.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection in accordance with clinical standards.
  
  
• 
  Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for charting and documentation.
  
  
• 
  Follow infection control procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
  
  
• 
  Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and basic clinical assessments.
  
  
• 
  Support administrative tasks including verifying work history, education, and certifications.
  
  
• 
  Complete assigned training modules and maintain compliance with institutional policies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a High School diploma or GED; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate at least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
  
  
• 
  Possess strong EPIC system familiarity; EPIC experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Hold current BLS certification issued by AHA.
  
  
• 
  Have phlebotomy experience and skills.
  
  
• 
  Maintain valid NY license and meet travel compliance requirements.
