Pharmacist PositionWe're looking for an experienced pharmacist to join a high-volume, fast-paced independent pharmacy. This role requires keen attention to detail, extensive knowledge of pharmacy compliance, and the ability to manage a large team. Your exceptional pharmaceutical knowledge, combined with a genuine passion for patient well-being, will allow you to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately and safely dispense prescription medications to patients and healthcare professionals, following all legal and ethical guidelinesConduct comprehensive medication reviews to assess appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness — evaluating medical histories, allergies, and potential drug interactionsProvide clear, thorough instructions to patients on proper medication usage, side effects, and precautions; offer guidance on OTC products, healthy lifestyles, and self-careServe as a trusted resource for healthcare professionals and patients, delivering accurate, up-to-date drug information on interactions, dosages, adverse effects, and therapeutic alternativesOversee day-to-day pharmacy operations including inventory management, medication storage, and prescription processingLead, mentor, and manage a large team of pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to standard operating proceduresCommunicate directly with medical professionals regarding patients and their medication regimensEnsure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations; maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard controlled substances per established protocolsMonitor and report adverse drug events and medication errors; participate in medication safety initiatives and quality assurance programs including medication use evaluations and performance improvement activitiesStay current on the latest advancements in pharmacy practice through continuing education, professional development, and relevant conferences or seminarsMaintain all necessary certifications, training, and licensureAdminister immunizations and coordinate off-site clinic eventsQualifications & RequirementsActive Pharmacy License in the state of employmentNot on the DEA Excluded Parties ListImmunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA)Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substancesStrong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKeen attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensingAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentProficiency with pharmacy software systems for order entry and medication verificationIf you're a dedicated pharmacist who wants to lead, make decisions, and truly own the role, we'd love to hear from you.
