Product Security Engineering Manager, Missile & Weapons Systems Position title: Product Security Engineering Manager, Missile & Weapons Systems (MWS) – The Boeing Company’s Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) Organization. The role will be based in either Huntsville, Alabama or St. Charles, Missouri. The chosen candidate will lead the MWS Product Security Engineering (PSE) Capability, ensuring secure and resilient aerospace and defense products. Overview The MWS PSE team protects the security, resiliency, and safety of integrated air, missile, and strategic defense systems such as Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC‑3), Avenger, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD), IFPC, and many others. You will champion Boeing PSE across MWS Program and Engineering teams, leveraging experience in strategic thinking, program planning, organization, proposal development, multi‑discipline engineering, and talent management. Responsibilities Serve as division engineering leader for all MWS PSE organizational strategy, staff alignment, deployment, training, and Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability (RAA). Ensure engineering integrity, first‑time quality, and efficient execution of Product Security activities on all MWS programs through the Gated Process and active participation in major program milestones. Partner with programs and personnel to drive performance and growth on MWS programs. Establish MWS strategy and implementation plans that leverage Enterprise Product Security internal R&D investments to develop MWS Product Security capabilities. Recruit, hire, and develop top talent for current and future MWS programs and product lines. Develop and execute community and academic outreach and talent‑pipeline programs in the Huntsville and St. Charles regions. Influence and execute the Enterprise PSE Functional Office strategy, tailoring it to meet the unique needs of MWS campaigns and programs. Represent MWS PSE and partner with Boeing Defense and Enterprise PSE Functional teams and external partners. Build collaborative relationships, secure support, and promote ideas with enthusiasm, conviction, and assertiveness. Ensure execution excellence across all engineering program, Integrated Product Team (IPT), or project planning efforts. Lead multi‑site, multi‑discipline teams and communicate technical and programmatic status to engineers, suppliers, program leadership, external stakeholders, and customers. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent. Successfully completed Tier 5 (T5) Investigation within the last 5 years, or enrolled in Continuous Vetting during the last 5 years. Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance. Previous clearance active within last 24 months is acceptable. DoD 8140.01 (previously 8570.01) compliant certification – CompTIA Security+ CE, Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), or GSLC. 5+ years of engineering leadership experience. 5+ years managing or leading classified program teams. 5+ years experience in cybersecurity policy implementation and Risk Management Framework (RMF) such as DAAPM, CNSSI 1253, ICD‑503, JSIG, or NIST SP 800 series. 5+ years experience supporting or leading proposals. 5+ years of strategic problem‑solving/analysis and communicating at senior management levels. 5+ years demonstrating strong understanding, implementation, and operation through the engineering lifecycle. Preferred Qualifications DoD 8140.01 (previously 8570.01) compliant certification – IAM Level II; CISSP, CISM, CASP+ CE, CAP, GSLC, CCISO. Experience with Anti‑Tamper requirements and related implementation. Strategic planning and action taking with proven influence on leadership and partners. Leading and supporting program or Integrated Product Team (IPT) planning and execution. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders across multi‑site, multi‑discipline programs. Experience in positions requiring meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. Demonstrated performance in systems or software engineering. Shift First shift. Salary range for Level Manager: $204,000 – $276,000. Location & Relocation Positions available in Huntsville, Alabama or St. Charles, Missouri.
