Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services within an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting
- Evaluate and treat patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, trauma, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Develop and implement individualized, intensive rehabilitation treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Monitor patient progress throughout their recovery journey and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to maximize patient health, function, and quality of life
Required Qualifications
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or eligibility to practice in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
- Familiarity with CARF-accredited rehabilitation programs
- Experience treating patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, or neurological conditions
