Shift Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Job Summary The University of Kentucky Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory ( UKVDL ) develops and applies state-of-the-art diagnostic methodology to improve animal health and marketability, to protect the public health and to assist in the preservation of the human-animal bond through the principles of One Health. This position is a vital member of the team serving as a Diagnostic Technician in the Virology/Serology Department, whose duties include performing a variety of assays/tests such as serum neutralization, virus isolation and ELISA testing that identify and/or confirm animal diseases. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Bachelor of Science. Related experience in either a laboratory or veterinary field with special consideration for previous virology/serology laboratory experience. LIMS and QA/QC experience.
