Job DescriptionOverview: \nMartin Tire operates multiple locations across El Paso, Tx and New Mexico and is expanding! We offer complete quality automotive repair and preventative maintenance. Our ASE certified technicians will be happy to help you on a wide range of services including alignments, brake repair, oil changes, batteries, shocks and struts, belts and hoses, and air conditioning.\n\nThe Automotive Technician / Mechanic is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturer’s and company standards.\n\nCOMPENSATION: $18-$40 flag rate depending on experience\n\nAutomotive Technician / Mechanic Benefits:\n\n Competitive Bi-Weekly Pay\n Tuition Reimbursement\n Paid Vacation and Sick Time\n 6 Paid Holidays\n Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance\n Life Insurance (Company paid)\n 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match\n Discounted Services on Personal and Immediate Family Vehicles\n Opportunity for Advancement!!!\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\n\n Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.\n Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.\n Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.\n Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.\n Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.\n Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.\n\nQualifications:\n\n High School Diploma or equivalent\n Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training\n Possess current, valid driver’s license\n Must be at least 18 years old\n Ability to work Monday - Saturday\n\nWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:\nThe Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
