Law School Faculty Senior Secretary

Job Description

Seeking an ambitious, friendly and well-organized individual to serve in an administrative support capacity for USD Law School faculty members and other Law School staff. The person in this position will interact often with Law School faculty and students in an environment that fosters success and is community-centric. The successful applicant will reflect a high level of professionalism and cooperation.

Job Requirements

Preferred skills include:
- Knowledge of modern office practices
- Demonstrated proficiency with modern office software to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe.
- Ability to use general office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Ability to review and proof documents for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse people
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Effective organizational and interpersonal skills at a level that can effectively support faculty and students is desired. Familiarity with internet research, database research, legal research, legal writing and the practice or education of law is a plus as well as knowledge of USD and/or Board of Regents platforms and processes.
