Senior Production Manager

Compensation: $110,000 - $185,000 + Bonus Potential Relocation Assistance Available A leading global automotive manufacturer is conducting a search for an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead a large-scale production operation within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across production teams while driving safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership, direction, and development for production management and supervisory teams. Establish and execute short- and long-term manufacturing objectives aligned with business goals. Drive operational excellence across safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost metrics. Manage departmental budgets and support cost reduction initiatives. Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams to improve plant performance. Lead workforce planning activities, including headcount management and staffing strategy. Oversee root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for operational issues. Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, environmental, safety, and quality management systems. Support customer interactions and maintain strong relationships through effective communication and problem resolution. Champion 5S and operational discipline throughout the production environment. Develop and mentor leadership talent while building a high-performance culture. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. 10+ years of manufacturing experience. 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in a production environment. Strong background within automotive or high-volume manufacturing. Experience managing large teams and multiple levels of leadership. Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and organizational leadership abilities. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business productivity tools. Preferred MBA or advanced degree. ASQ Certification. Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent). Experience working within IATF-certified automotive manufacturing environments. Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other manufacturing compliance standards.
