Assistant Operations ManagerThe Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for providing various support functions for operational activities. This role will assist in the development and maintenance of the facility as directed by the Operations and Commercial Managers. This person must work and communicate effectively with the Operations Manager to help assure the facility is in a constant state of preparedness to meet schedules and take advantage of opportunities that arise. This includes assisting with inventory control, operational cost control and logistics, mix & blend including grain conditioning and space allocation, preventative maintenance, talent management including production planning, energy conservation, and asset security.What You'll Be Doing:Assist and assure effective inventory control within company requirementsHelp ensure the Operations Manager is maintaining at or below the operational cost control planAssist Operations Manager in development and execution of facility improvementsAid in maximizing mix & blend opportunities by utilizing in house stocks and grain available in the marketplace using effective space allocationAssist in scheduling preventative maintenance functions while maintaining a safe and reliable facility in compliance with OSHA grain handling standardsHelp complete talent development for operational staff to manage cost and guarantee uninterrupted facility operationsAssist in ensuring implementation of energy conservation program and enhance sustainability while reducing cost and/or consumption of energy.Aid in maintaining the security of the asset to minimize or eliminate exposure to theft, property damage, vandalism, and trespassing.Lead workers onsite, including contractors, temps, and service providersHelp ensure compliance with all required safety, regulatory, environmental, and company programs, including Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding Occupation Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, and Operational Permit requirementsOther duties as assignedProvide excellent customer service and assist customers as neededRecommend process improvements as necessarySkills/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required.Prior experience working in an elevator and/or terminal preferred.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.Exposure to moderate to loud noise within the work environment and concentrations of grain dust.Ability to frequently move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.Ability to frequently wear personal protective equipment correctly, including respirators, fall protection, safety glasses, hard hat, etc.Ability to comfortably work at heights of approximately 200 ft.Ability to work in outdoor work environment, including various climates, weather conditions, and inclement weather, approximately 80% of the time.Ability to perform all job responsibilities with necessary special demands for up to 8 hours per day.Benefits:Health Benefits – Offering choices so you can enroll in medical, dental and vision plans that meet your individual needs.401(k) Retirement Plan – Investing in your future with an automatic 5% company contribution AND matching up to 4% of your contributions.Family Support – Supporting new and growing families by providing 6 weeks of 100% paid parental leave and fertility coverage.Tuition Reimbursement – after one year of service, eligible for tuition expenses reimbursement of up to $5000 per year.Time Off – Providing generous PTO based on professional work experience 0 – 9 years: 25 days 10 – 19 years: 30 days 20+ years: 35 daysAt Bunge (NYSE: BG), our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
