Data Engineer

We're looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to support data integration and pipeline projects for our US-based clients. This is an ongoing, full-time engagement — not a one-off project.

**Location: Pakistan (Remote)**

**What you'll work on:**

* Designing, building, and maintaining production ETL/ELT pipelines
* Integrating data across databases, APIs, files, and third-party systems
* Writing advanced SQL for transformation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting
* Building batch and near-real-time data workflows
* Orchestrating pipelines with Apache Airflow (or similar)
* Working with Kafka or similar streaming/event-driven tools
* Supporting data modeling, data quality, and warehouse integration
* Troubleshooting pipeline and production data issues
* Communicating directly with US clients to gather requirements and provide solutions
* Documenting technical work and contributing to reusable integration patterns

**What we're looking for:**

* 3–5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or data integration
* Strong SQL and data modeling skills
* Hands-on experience with tools like Talend, Informatica, Matillion, dbt, or Semarchy xDI
* Production experience with Airflow or similar orchestration platforms
* Experience with Kafka or similar streaming technologies
* Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Databricks, or similar platforms
* Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Prior experience working with US clients or teams
* Strong spoken and written English
* Comfortable working during US business hours
* Self-directed, reliable, and able to own projects independently

**Nice to have:**

* Experience with Semarchy xDM, xDI, or SDP
* Consulting or outsourcing background
* Experience in healthcare, financial services, or retail data environments

Cloud certifications (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, or Databricks)

**Budget:** $1,000–$1,400 USD/month

**Hours:** Full-time, must overlap with US business hours
