Overview Vascular Specialists – Surgical Technologist for Vascular Lab (Spanish bilingual). Description Responsibilities: Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery, including setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical procedure Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon during the procedure Maintain aseptic technique throughout the surgical procedure to prevent infections Monitor and document patient vital signs during surgery Assist with positioning and transferring patients before and after surgery Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies for future procedures Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Surgical Technician program preferred Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) is a plus Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as Epic, for documentation purposes Ability to analyze situations and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols Experience working in critical care areas, such as the ICU, is highly desirable Proficient in handling surgical instruments, including sutures and other specialized tools Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team This position offers an opportunity to work in a hospital setting alongside skilled surgeons and healthcare professionals.
