Travel Pay: $18.15/hour

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hrly $18.15 x 36 = $653.40 Stipend (Lodging $588.00 + M&I $245.00) = $833.00


Total Comp:$1,486.40


Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 70+ miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Shift Details:


The primary shift could be days or nights depending on facility needs.


12 week initial duration


36 hours per week
Licensed Practical Nurse Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in evaluating and coordinating medical services to prevent duplication or inappropriate use.
• Maintain strict security and confidentiality of medical records.
• Observe, document, and monitor inmate/resident behavior and medical conditions.
• Inspect medical areas for contraband and ensure proper storage/disposal of supplies and equipment.
• Prepare, review, and maintain medical records, reports, logs, and documentation.
• Interpret and process medical procedures, regulations, legal documents, and medical instructions.
• Research medical charts and assist with legal cases, hearings, and required interventions.
• Communicate effectively with administration, staff, inmates/residents, visitors, and the public.
• Assist with safety, accident, emergency, and incident reporting and investigations.
• Coordinate and escort inmates/residents to and from medical treatment areas.
• Support NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO accreditation requirements and medical program compliance.
• Conduct security checks and work rotating shifts in a correctional/secure environment.
• Exercise sound judgment when handling disciplinary matters, emergencies, and hostile situations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted New York license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a LPN.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (Healthcare Provider BLS certification; TB screening with negative PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT results; Hepatitis B Consent/Declination Form; and proof of Rubella, Rubeola, and Varicella vaccination or titers ).
