Job Title: Floor Assistant
Pay: Starting at $17.00/hour + tips
Location: QUA Fountain Valley, CA
Status: Part-time
Weeknight availability required*
Position SummaryThe Floor Assistant supports daily restaurant operations by assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring tables are properly cleared and reset. This role helps create a welcoming and efficient dining experience for all guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesClear used tableware between courses and reset tables for the next seating
Remove dishes, glassware, and silverware and place items in designated dish areas
Clean and reset tables, chairs, booths, and floors between seatings
Assist with food delivery and beverage refills as needed
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
Thank guests as they depart
Support smooth restaurant operations by assisting where needed
Attend scheduled staff meetings and share improvement suggestions
Assist with food preparation when necessary
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Food Handler Card (training provided if needed)
Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification (if required)
6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to carry and serve hot dishes (up to 210°ree;F)
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Attention to detail and adherence to sanitation standards
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
