Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Valves and Integrated Process SolutionsAs a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Valves and Integrated Process Solutions, you will partner with Engineering, Tech-Ops to contribute to the testing, development and design of existing and new products. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Mgr, Engineering (ME).Intern / Co-op Program Overview:6 month co-op assignment within a functional area of MKS Instruments that provides students a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends.Meaningful work and project assignmentsNetworking opportunities with peers and executivesExposure to different divisions of the businessUnderstanding of MKS Instruments' commitment to culture & belongingIntern/Co-op Term: This is a 6 month internship/co-op beginning in January 2026. Candidates must be available for the entire duration of the assignment.You Will Make an Impact By:Participate in Lab test set-up and perform experimentsWork with 3D CAD, learning basics of CAM/CNC to support prototypingCollaborate with a diverse, dynamic, multifunctional team environmentSkills You Bring:Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program for Mechanical Engineering at University of Massachusetts LowellCompleted 2nd or 3rd yearHonesty, Enthusiasm and AdaptabilityDriven to succeedExcellent communication skillsExperience with SolidWorks/InventorDemonstrated examples of mechanical aptitude in coursework or other activitiesPresentation of projects either course related or outside interestsPhysical Demands and Working Conditions:Adept in working with hand tools.Max lifting req 30-40 lbs.Willingness to work in lab areas where high voltage and toxic gasses are used, and safety is mandatoryCompensation and Benefits:Hourly Pay Range: $23.00 to $31.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
