This role focuses on cellular system operations, RF engineering, and spectrum coordination to support cyber training and test range activities.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern cellular technologies, frequency management, and regulatory coordination to ensure effective and compliant communications environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport operations and maintenance of cellular and RF systems across training environmentsConfigure and manage 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G cellular technologiesPerform frequency management and spectrum coordination to support mission requirementsCoordinate with license owners and stakeholders for spectrum usageDevelop and submit FCC licensing applications, including Experimental Special Temporary Authority (STA) requestsCoordinate and deconflict spectrum usage to enable training objectives and operational readinessAnalyze performance of telecommunication systems and transmission mediaSupport integration of cellular infrastructure within cyber range environmentsRequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Spectrum Management, or related discipline OR equivalent experience in lieu of degreeExperienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in: Cellular system operations, Radio Frequency (RF) engineering, Spectrum managementHands-on experience with: 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies, Cellular frequency coordination and managementExperience with: FCC licensing processes, including Experimental STA applications or similar, Coordinating and deconflicting spectrum with stakeholdersStrong understanding of: Telecommunication equipment and transmission media, System components and communication architecturesPractical knowledge of: Telecommunications methods, techniques, and operational best practicesDesired SkillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsExperience in DoD or training range environmentsKnowledge of emerging wireless and RF technologiesAbility to coordinate across technical teams and external stakeholdersStrong documentation and communication skillsSecurity ClearanceActive Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) requiredEmployee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position.
