From funds available, the program may make nursing education loan repayments of up to $4,000.00 per year, per nurse enrolled in the program, for a maximum of four years. Minimum Qualifications Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays as required. Must possess licensure as a Practical Nurse. Must have one (1) year of experience in providing practical nursing services. Must have a current CPR certification. Must be knowledgeable in the use of computer applications to include but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook. Successful completion of the employment screening process to include, but not limited to, a national background investigation and drug test. Preferred Qualifications Experience medication administration in a skilled nursing facility. One (1) year of experience in a long-term care facility working with a geriatric population. Position Description The incumbent is responsible for providing quality care for the veteran residents to ensure their health, safety and security in accordance with the established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act. Perform assigned duties to include but are not limited to administration of medications and treatments per MD order, monitoring and providing interventions to meet the needs of the resident, completing accurate clinical documentation reflective of resident's current status and supervising CNA and other supportive care givers.
