Cost Estimator - Manufacturing

Full-time Quoter / Job Estimator – Carbide Manufacturing. Location: Saxonburg, PA 16056. Work shift: Daylight. Responsibilities Use experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes to provide job quotes in response to customer requests for carbide components and related products. Maintain a system of record keeping for all quotes to serve as a reference tool for future quotations. Work closely with manufacturing, operations, sales, engineering and quality teams to provide excellent customer service and maintain company profitability. Provide summary reports and other regular and special reports as needed. Continuously evaluate and review the effectiveness of pricing structures, quotation procedures and recommend improvements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prior machining, engineering or quoting experience. Associate degree in mechanical drafting preferred. Knowledge and Skills Solid technical, mechanical and mathematical skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other product specifications and design data. Effective computer literacy and ability to quickly learn and use required software. High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Familiarity with carbide manufacturing processes preferred. Ability to work independently and with teams. Capacity to take intelligent, decisive risks and justify them professionally. Excellent organizational skills, self‑motivated and able to manage multiple tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Compensation & Benefits Competitive starting wage with the opportunity for two pay increases in the first year.
