Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR position requiring BLS, NBSTSA certification, and 2+ years of experience in a Trauma Level I setting.

Details

• Hospital-based general OR, ambulatory OR, and trauma surgical services setting
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 4:15 PM
• Call requirement of one night per week and one weekend per month
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• No floating to hospital units or affiliate facilities unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required (License required if applicable)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the surgical technology specialty
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
• Experience with a variety of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, general surgery, and robotics preferred
• Da Vinci Xi Surgical System experience preferred
• References required for consideration

Additional Information

• Support surgical teams across a broad range of specialties including neuro, orthopedic, general, urology, ENT, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper instrument processing throughout procedures
• Care for scopes, fiber optic equipment, and other surgical instrumentation
• Assist with endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, and bronchoscopy as needed
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside 75+ miles from the facility
• Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before being eligible
• Available start date and requested time off must be provided at time of consideration
