Job Overview

Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine – South Texas

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: South Texas (multiple emergency department locations)

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6a-6p or 6p-6a), seven days per week, single physician coverage per site

Highlights:

• Freestanding Emergency Departments and Level IV trauma centers with varied acuity and patient populations
• Daily census ranging from 45 to 80 patients per site, with APP support available at all locations
• One-year contract duration with onboarding and 2-3 shadow shifts for orientation
• Opportunity to practice a full scope of emergency medicine including intubations, central lines, OB deliveries, trauma, and procedural reductions
• EMR: Meditech
• No call required; all shifts are scheduled on-site coverage

Requirements:

• ABEM board certification or ABFM/ABIM with emergency medicine experience for freestanding sites
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience (or family medicine with emergency medicine fellowship)
• Proficiency in intubation, central line placement, ultrasound utilization, OB delivery, dislocation reductions, chest tube placement, trauma management, and laceration repair
• Case logs required for credentialing (emergency privileges not available)
