Delivery DriverArlington, Texas, United StatesOverview:The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transport of Sharp Business Systems products to local customer base. This customer service-focused position is often the first impression of the Sharp Business Systems team to meet internal and external customer needs and expectations. The range of duties can include scheduling and communication on delivery routes; completion and filing of official delivery documentation; and cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery truck and warehouse environments.Responsibilities:Loads products for transportation to customer locations in a secure, courteous, professional, and polite mannerInstalls and provides basic key operator training of equipment at customer locationInteracts with customers on basic equipment questionsFollows a daily delivery schedule and provides timely communication and updates from the fieldAssists with warehouse and setup shop duties as needed, including keeping warehouse space organized and cleanMaintains accurate and complete delivery documentation and performs paperwork validation including serial numbers, equipment ID numbers, and meter counts for proper distributionProvides basic troubleshooting of potential issues in the field that would need to be relayed to the service team for follow-upKeeps company vehicles cleaned and well-maintainedAssists as needed and helps with scheduling of delivery/install at customer sitesProvides frequent internal communication with service, sales, and operations teams to ensure time commitments are metOther duties as assigned which may include but are not limited to: working in our system to help pick and fulfill/ship out equipment and supply orders, and to help perform inventory countsPosition Requirements:Valid driver's license and clean recordAbility to drive at minimum a 15-foot box truckHigh school diploma or equivalent educationAbility to use delivery equipment including dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lift gates in a safe mannerStrong interpersonal and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on customer service skillsPrevious experience in a warehouse environment a plusForklift experience preferredFamiliarity with all local roadways and the immediate regional areaAbout Sharp Business SystemsSharp Business Systems (SBS) is a direct sales division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, the U.S. based subsidiary of Japan's Sharp Corporation. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location.
