Job Description

Fiber Transport Company, Inc. is hiring CDL A Local Wood Chip Drivers in Newton, MS for day & night shift. Fiber Transport is a privately owned transportation company with offices located in Mobile, AL and Shubuta, MS. We primarily specialize in the transportation of forest/wood products. We're committed to delivering reliable, on-time service while maintaining the highest standards of safety. At the heart of our company is a strong focus on community and responsibility. Compensation

Weekly gross pay range: $1,200 to $1,300
- Paid per load, varies by customer
- 10-15 loads per week
Additional pay: Detention pay
Bonuses:
- Referral bonus: $250
- Clean DOT inspection: $50
- Safe driving bonus after 2nd year
Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

Home time: Home daily & home weekends!
Day shift: Monday – Friday, starting between 2:00 - 4:00am
Night shift: Monday – Friday, starting between 2:00 - 4:00pm
Route: Within 150 miles of Newton, MS
Level of Touch: No touch freight
- Depending on trailer drivers may have to place a tarp over top of the trailer

Equipment

Truck fleet is less than 5 years old!
International LT day cab trucks
Automatic transmission fleet
Inward & outward facing cameras
Governed speed: 70mph

Qualifications

Must be at least 23 years of age
Must have CDL A license
Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
No DUI/DWIs in last 5 years
No more than 1 speeding ticket in the past 3 years
Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen & background check
Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 75 miles of Newton, MS or be willing to relocate for this position
