Registered Nurse Operating Room

Forest Heights, MD Pay From $47 per hour MUST:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland
• 3+ years of experience as a registered Nurse
• Scrubbing and circulating in the Operating Room
• Starting and administering IV's
• Strong attention to detail and proactive
• Providing patient education
• Monitoring and assessing patients
• Discussing procedures
• Reviewing discharge instructions
• BSN
• BLS and ACLS Certified

DUTIES:

• Provide support in the Operating Room but scrubbing and circulating on surgical cases
• Initiate and administer IV's
• Review upcoming procedures with patients
• Ready patients for procedures
• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments
• Provide discharge instructions to patients
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care to patients
• Assist surgeons with treatments and surgical procedures
