Primary City/State: Shea Medical Center – 9003 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260 Category: Patient Services; Shift: Day Inpatient Transporter – Scottsdale Locations: Shea or Osborn Full‑time position; Shea FT Days 10am to 10:30pm; Osborn FT Days 6am to 6:30am; Osborn FT Evening 10am to 10:30pm. Schedule: 6 weekend days/nights per 6‑week period. Holidays: 1 major summer, 1 major winter, 2 minor holidays. Current and Active BLS Certification Required. Responsibilities Transports patients and materials throughout all hospital areas. Maintains transport equipment and supplies. Complies with regulations, safety and patient care protocols. Ensures all customer service standards and quality standards are met for communication with patients, staff and public. Transports patients by wheelchair, stretcher, bed or chair and non‑patient moves to and from designated areas or departments. Uses proper body mechanics and ensures patient safety when transferring a patient to and from multiple surfaces and/or devices. Operates company‑issued mobile devices and may include dispatch role. Maintains accurate documentation and completes accurate handoff with clinical staff. Communicates appropriately with patient and other members of care team, verifies patient identity and informs the patient of destination. Follows HonorHealth Standards of Conduct and demonstrates ICARE values. Complies with established PPE guidelines and proper handling of patient. Maintains wheelchairs and stretchers appropriately, sanitizes equipment following established protocols. Immediately reports any equipment malfunctions and removes items from service. Utilizes Electronic Medical Record system consistently for safe and efficient transport of patients. Education High school diploma or GED required. Experience Minimum six (6) months work experience in healthcare and customer service.
