VDC Manager - Mechanical Process Piping

Overview We have a customer in Phoenix, AZ who has an IMMEDIATE long-term DIRECT HIRE opening for a VDC Manager for Mechanical Process Piping. Responsibilities In this role you lead a Team of 5-10 Process Piping Designers on large water and wastewater treatment facility and other hi-tech projects like semiconductor and related facilities. In this role you will lead and manage process piping designers who are using Plant 3D, REVIT and similar software for process piping submittal and and shop-level drawings for fabrication and construction. You will manage people, workflows, model standards, schedules, and provide QA/QC guidance for accuracy, completeness, constructability, clash detection support and resolution using NAVISWORK and similar tools and coordinate models with other disciplines including structural, electrical, architectural, etc. You will also provide technical guidance for piping layout, routing, supports, interfaces, etc. Location and arrangement This is a long-term DIRECT HIRE position in Phoenix, AZ or can be REMOTE for well-qualified candidates who live in the Southwestern USA and are able to work in Phoenix one week/month the first year and then once each quarter year #2 and following. Company will also consider relocation assistance as necessary. Salary Salary range for this position is $120-$140K plus bonus and profit sharing. Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
8 + years experience in mechanical or process piping design Strong background as a Sr. Piping Designer, Lead Mechanical Designer or related experience in a Lead or Supervisory role (5-10 Piping Designers) History of producing and reviewing piping submittal drawings Must have a strong understanding of fabrication and installation practices Strong understanding of CAD drawing standards and QA/QC practices Proficiency of relevant tools including Plant 3D, REVIT, AUTOCAD, NAVISWORKS, or similar Experience mentoring other designers #J-18808-Ljbffr Trades Workforce SolutionsVacancy posted 3 days ago
