Job Summary:
A travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pre-Operative (Pre-Op) care is sought for a position at a healthcare facility located in Wichita, Kansas. The role involves working in the Pre-Op Holding / Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU) for day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Wichita, Kansas
• Address: 550 N. Hillside Avenue, Wichita, KS 67214
• Unit Information: Pre-Operative Holding / ASU (709), with 9 pre-op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
• Staffing: 8 full-time RNs (including 2 open positions), 2 part-time RNs, 4 PRN RNs, and 1 unit HUC
• Patient Ratios: 1:3
• Equipment: Pyxis medication system, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, bladder scanner
• EMR System: Meditech
• Shift Details: Day shift, 12 hours (7:00 AM 7:00 PM), minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum 1-year current acute care Pre-Operative RN hospital experience, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with some preoperative experience or the ability to assist pre-op staff, and prior Meditech experience.
• Additional Information: On-call responsibility with a 30-minute response time when on-call.
