Our client is looking for a Help Desk Technician. Overview Our client is seeking a dependable Help Desk Technician to provide first-level technical support in a fast-paced IT environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their IT career while gaining hands-on experience with desktop support, hardware deployments, account administration, and end-user troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is reliable, customer-focused, and eager to learn new technologies while supporting a collaborative IT team. Key Responsibilities Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and end-user issues Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, emails, and walk-up support requests Configure, image, deploy, and replace desktop and laptop computers Perform password resets and user account administration using Active Directory or similar tools Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and common desktop issues Document incidents, resolutions, and updates within the ticketing system Escalate advanced technical issues to senior support staff when appropriate Assist with large-scale hardware deployments and workstation refresh initiatives Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting users throughout the organization Maintain an organized workspace while supporting multiple priorities and deadlines Preferred Experience Previous Help Desk, Desktop Support, IT Support, or Call Center experience preferred Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environments Familiarity with Active Directory account administration and password management Basic knowledge of desktop hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting techniques CompTIA A+ certification is a plus but not required Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to troubleshoot technical issues while maintaining a positive customer experience Desire to grow within Information Technology and expand technical knowledge Ideal Candidate Profile Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality Customer-service oriented with a positive and professional attitude Strong communication and problem-solving skills Eager to learn and develop technical expertise Comfortable supporting users both remotely and in person Organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize multiple tasks Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic Motivated to build a long-term career in Information Technology Why choose Addison IT?
