System Admin - DC

What You Will Do The System Administrator will support the NCR NASAMS Program in the Washington, DC area. Responsibilities include maintaining large‑scale LAN hardware and software, interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics, and providing engineering assistance at all maintenance echelons. The role involves coordinating with military customers to deliver timely, professional support, adapting to changing environments, and performing other duties as assigned. Travel requirement: 10% CONUS and less than 10% international. Qualifications You Must Have Current active DOD Secret clearance. Eight years of computer systems administration and maintenance experience in heterogeneous LAN/WAN environments. Network administration and fault isolation/troubleshooting with Cisco hardware and switch/router configuration. Experience with UNIX operating systems (including Solaris, HP‑UX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and the ability to write and understand Perl and shell scripts. Experience installing, cabling, and administering NetApp NAS filers and clustered Data ONTAP (cDOT). Administration of Cisco routers and switches. Administration of Microsoft Windows Server (DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy). Current CompTIA Security+ CE and Red Hat RHCSA certifications. Ability to provide training and development of operating and preventive maintenance procedures for networked systems. Qualifications We Prefer ACAS and HBSS administration and maintenance experience. VMware vSphere administration. RSA SecurID administration. Installation and configuration of NetBackup. Familiarity with DoD DIACAP/RMF cyber‑security risk management. Experience managing computer system security actions and developing supporting procedures. Experience with classified and national security information. Experience supporting engineering efforts for testing and evaluating new and prototype systems. Computer operations maintenance for phased‑array radar systems and knowledge of phased‑array radar principles. Coordination of technical matters with external vendors. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8–12 years of related experience.
