Welder/FitterA Welder/Fitter is required to cut and burn in relation to the fabrication process, fabricate, weld, and straighten all types of materials used in the company's fabrication and welding operation with little or no supervisory assistance in the shop.Education/Physical Qualifications:Knowledge of welding principals and methods including FCAW, GMAW, and GTAWWelding/fitting experience welding ASME Code pressure vessels is a plusWelding with multiple processes in multiple positions as requiredMust be able to complete and pass a physical assessmentMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodationEvery day repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement, involving gripping and wrist torqueingEvery day standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stoopingEveryday lifting 25 to 50 lbsExposure to moving machinery, dust, dirt, grease, or other disagreeable elementsMust have ability to hear emergency communications and alarmsSkills/Qualifications:Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environmentRead a tape measure to 1/64"Follow oral and written directionsDaily use grinders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes, and forkliftsMay occasionally perform x-ray quality weldsRead and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction documentsSetup and adjust welding machines and plasma torchesRead and interpret blueprints and AWS weld symbolsLay and fit as directed by drawing or process sheetCreate fixtures to hold part while being weldedPerform basic NDE procedures (LPT and VT)Understand tolerances and the importance of maintaining themBenefits:Health / Dental / Vision Insurance401k (company matches 25% up to 7%); Roth 401k optionsCompany paid Life InsuranceVacation and Sick LeavePaid Holiday'sFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Bereavement
