About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS (completed prior to the end of orientation) Must-Have: All RNs must have BLS and ACLS certifications Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit. The unit has 30 beds and is staffed by over 40 professionals. We provide care for all levels of patients, from medical-surgical to ICU. Staffing ratios are typically 2-4:1 for ICU and 5-6:1 for medical-surgical patients. Typical procedures performed in this unit include IV starts, central venous line placements, arterial lines, Foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care. Ideal candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. BLS certification is required. Candidates with ICU or stepdown experience are preferred. Staff members are organized into a team-based care model, meeting daily to discuss patient care and treatment needs. Weekend rotations and holiday staffing will be part of the schedule.
