About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of acute care experience License: Current RN License Certifications: AHA BLS Certification Must-Have: - Must be comfortable floating between like units as required. - Must have prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios. - Must have experience with patient diagnoses such as cellulitis, alcohol withdrawal, diabetic ketoacidosis, and pneumonia. Description: The registered nurse will provide care for medical and surgical patients. This position requires working night shifts, 3 times per week. The nurse will manage various patient diagnoses and conditions. Patient loads may involve ratios of 1:5 during days and 1:6 during nights and weekends. Candidates should be experienced in administering medications, starting IVs, and performing wound care. General medical and surgical patients are the primary population served. Elective bariatric surgery cases, such as gastric sleeve and gastric bypass, are also included. Additional support staff is available to assist with patient care as needed. Floating to sister units may be required based on facility needs. Travelers are responsible for completing various facility-specific modules within the first week of the assignment. Work requires adherence to unit-specific policies and procedures.
