This role does not require deep technical expertise (such as coding), but it does require the ability to understand the intersection between interrelated tech applications and business goals, exceptional organisational skills, clear communication, and the ability to keep projects on track in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will be adept at translating business requirements into actionable project plans, ensuring all parties are aligned on goals, timelines, and deliverables, and proactively addressing roadblocks to maintain project momentum. As examples of the types of projects this position could work on, here are several projects we have been or are currently involved in with our current client: Project management of very large unstructured data governance initiative, including managing unstructured data separation strategy and execution for a large‑scale spinoff Project management of a large‑scale migration from prior versions of SAP and JDE ERPs to SAP S/4 HANA. Program management of the ingestion of data into the company’s Common Data Layer (CDL), which is a massive data repository, housing data from hundreds of apps and tens of thousands of tables. Responsibilities: Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear, shared understanding of goals, priorities, and deliverables. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and progress reports. Coordinate meetings, document action items, and track follow‑up to ensure commitments are met. Manage dependencies, risks, and issues, escalating when needed to keep work on track. Facilitate effective communication across business and technical teams, ensuring information flows accurately and on time. Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and adjust plans as needed. Ensure all stakeholders are informed of status, upcoming milestones, and potential impacts to timelines or scope. Support change management processes to ensure smooth implementation of new systems or processes. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience); a Masters degree is a plus 5+ years of post‑graduate experience in consulting and/or project management, preferably in IT or enterprise environments Experience working with cross‑functional teams and managing projects involving multiple stakeholders Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Asana) and collaboration platforms (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint) PMP, CSM, or similar certification a plus, but not required Skills and Character Traits: Highest personal and professional integrity and work ethics; ability to handle highly confidential information discreetly and responsibly Strong organisational and time‑management skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences Skilled at fostering collaboration and building consensus without direct authority Comfortable navigating large corporate structures while representing a nimble consulting team Tech savvy; someone who enjoys figuring out new technology and utilising technology for process efficiency and data visualisation Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint Ability to get to the heart of the problem, develop a game plan, and engage diverse stakeholders in a solution Natural inclination toward viewing challenging situations as puzzles to solve We value diversity and commit to making hiring decisions based on the skills and traits needed to be successful in this role.
