Job Description:
The registered nurse will work in a 29-bed Emergency Department serving the southern half of Johnson County, which is a chest pain and primary stroke center. This role involves handling daily patient volumes of around 120, caring for some inpatient boarders, and adapting to rapidly changing conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department
- Adapt to rapidly changing conditions and maintain a positive attitude
- Comfortably handle inpatient boarders
- Work up to 3 weekend shifts per pay period
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience working in the ED within the last 12 months
- License/Certification: KS or Multi State RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS & Conscious Sedation Competency
- Preferred additional certification: TNCC
