Financial Analyst

Are you an experienced finance or accounting professional looking for a high-impact, hybrid opportunity in Greensboro, NC? We are seeking a analytical Point of Sale (POS) Treasury Analyst to manage and optimize daily cash operations and treasury systems for a premier regional organization!

In this versatile role, you will split your time between a home office and local sites as you oversee POS cash management systems, conduct daily banking reconciliations, and post monthly journal entries. You will play a pivotal part in analyzing cash flows, performing intermediate to advanced variance investigations, and maintaining strict compliance with financial controls and PCI DSS standards. Additionally, you will serve as the subject matter expert providing hands-on end-user training, supporting new POS system rollouts, and troubleshooting operational needs for site personnel. If you bring a strong background in accounting or financial services, sharp analytical capabilities, and a passion for continuous process improvement, this 13-week contract position offers an ideal platform to showcase your expertise with provided equipment and a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Support and maintain POS cash management systems, perform daily banking reconciliations, analyze cash operations, and assist with new POS system rollouts and user support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily cash operations (cash, checks, credit cards) and prepare monthly journal entries.

• Perform daily banking reconciliations for cash flows, wire transfers, and credit card activity.

• Conduct variance analyses across multiple financial systems and communicate findings.

• Assist with new POS location setups, merchant ID creation, testing, and operational cutover.

• Train cash site personnel, resolve basic POS issues, and support PCI DSS compliance efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 6+ years of accounting/finance experience.

• Proven experience in Point of Sale (POS) operations, cash management, and reconciliations.

• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Workday, Hyperion) and MS Office.

• Preferred: Background in banking, healthcare revenue cycle, or CTP certification.
